Only about 20 minutes away from our ****Hotel Sonnhof, more than 140 kilometres of fun on the slopes, fantastic high-altitude cross-country ski runs, romantic winter hiking trails and fast-paced toboggan runs await the world’s holidaymakers. They can either travel conveniently every 15 minutes by free ski bus or drive themselves to the valley station of the Stubai glacier lifts. After arrival with the Eisgratbahn line at the Top of Tyrol, Austria’s largest glacier area with 26 cable cars and lifts and 35 descents – with guaranteed snow from October to June – promises pure glacier fun!

Attention cross-country skiing fans: Stubaital is a true paradise for cross-country skiers, offering breathtaking scenery, ideal conditions and perfectly groomed cross-country trails of various levels of difficulty. The Stubaital network of cross-country ski trails covers 130 km, and can be enjoyed either in the valley or at lofty heights – both Nordic classic skiers as well as fast skaters will find what they’re looking for here. Why not try the impressive 27 km valley trail in Neustift or the fantastic glacier trail at 2,600 m above sea level!

TOBOGGANING FUN RIGHT ON THE DOORSTEP
After a tranquil hike through snow-covered forests or a leisurely gondola ride up the mountain, winter sports enthusiasts look forward to a fast-paced toboggan run. In Neustift and the surrounding area there are 11 toboggan runs for this fast downhill fun, eight of which have been awarded the Tyrolean Natural Toboggan Run Quality Seal, and some are even illuminated at night. One of the longest toboggan runs in Tyrol is also located in Stubaital, just a stone’s throw away from our Sonnhof: the Elfer sports toboggan run descends over six kilometres directly to the village centre of Neustift.
